Pommerol was originally a working livestock farm situated in a small hamlet of seven houses. Today only five remain. The fields surrounding Pommerol now belong to other farms and at times, are populated by the famous Limousin cattle.

A little bit about us, Pommerol and its history.

The farmhouse was severely damaged by a storm shortly after the Second World War and in the intervening years gradually fell into a state of disrepair. Following complete renovation, it now provides the accommodation for the resident English speaking owners who are on hand, if needed.

Between the two barns is an outdoor swimming pool with roman steps, surrounded by a tiled terrace for sunbathing on the loungers provided. The pool has a security alarm fitted in compliance with French law to prevent accidents with small children. All guests using the gites have shared access to the swimming pool, which is cleaned daily.
Our largest gite is located within the attached storage barn and is directly opposite the larger animal barn, which has been converted into three gites and incorporates a games room. Additionally, there is a communal laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
We are open all year for holidays, house hunting or short breaks and have excellent road, rail and air links.
